fox and bunny 4

bunny pulls a diamond out of their chest and holds it up to show fox. the diamond shines and fox stares at it. eventually, fox asks, ''this is a part of you?'' and bunny says, ''no, not at all. but also yes. or, it was in that moment in time. it can't be anything more than that.'' bunny holds the diamond up and shows how it glitters. light reflects off the diamond onto their palm, creating shadows and streaks of light. bunny continues, ''but the light and shadows it casts could be anything. that's its true value.''
fox takes the diamond and examines it in his palm. he says, ''what do i do with it now?'' bunny says, ''you do whatever you want. stow it somewhere. throw it away. or maybe hold it up to the light and turn it to see what kinds of shapes it makes. it's up to you. isn't that wonderful?'' fox seems to consider this for a moment. then, he pushes the diamond into his own chest. he looks up and smiles at bunny whose expression is unreadable but concerned.
